UIM XCAT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: THE FIRST DAY IN FUJAIRAH
In the afternoon of Tuesday 30th of November, the XCAT drivers completed their first day of activities.
The first Pole Position session of the season, defining the starting grid for the first race of the 2021 XCAT World Championship, saw the boat n.10, 222 Offshore, topping the list of competitors. At the end of the day indeed, the drivers Giovanni Carpitella and Darren Nicholson got the Pole Position for Race 1 of this Grand Prix of Fujairah, held on Wednesday 1st of December.
Despite being the fastest team in the water during the Official Practice session, the “Abu Dhabi 5” team obtained the second slot for the starting grid; while in third, the Abu Dhabi team classified their boat n. 4, driven by Shaun Torrente and Faleh Al Mansoori. Celebrating their return to the competitions, the drivers Matteo Nicolini and Tomaso Polli finished in fourth place with the boat n. 6, sealing their comeback event with a great performance.
In conclusion, the two weeks of XCAT-adrenaline have just started, and there is already a lot of excitement for the opening race of the 2021 UIM XCAT World Championship.
