UIM XCAT World Championship is the most exciting event in powerboating.
The largest group of powerboat racing boats with the major number of participating nations, together with the most competitive and spectacular race courses, make of it the most fascinating and thrilling event in Offshore powerboat racing.
12 Boats faster than 200 km/h on the water, 2 engines of 400 hp each per boat, the finest expression of powerboat racing at international level.
XCAT is the trading name of the Class III, 6-liter powerboat discipline. It was born from a need for a more approachable, economical, globally entertaining and secure form of ocean-going racing, and one that would blend two extremes: the offshore Class One and the circuit Formula 1 approach.
Today, XCAT has considered one of the most thrilling disciplines within extreme water sports with each round in the World Championship drawing a field of more than 12 high-performance boats.
The UIM XCAT World Championship is built on the success of the XCAT racing Events held to date, featuring Class III, 6-liter boats at their best. In addition, there will be other powerboating activities to complement the sporting offer.
UIM is 100% committed to promoting and protecting the environment in all XCAT events.
- 80% less emissions;
- a dramatic reduction of aromatic hydrocarbons, poly-aromatic hydrocarbons and olefins that are harmful to underwater fauna.
- Race lap 6.5km

One of the most important secrets of the success of XCAT lies in the containerization. The modular system, especially designed for XCAT boats, reduces costs for teams by up to 80% compared to other transportation models.
