At twenty-eight years old, Sebastian Groth is already entering his seventh year in the UIM Offshore XCAT World Championship and has been a constant presence in the Swecat Racing team since 2018.
Initially a driver and now the throttleman of the team’s Victory catamaran, Sebastian came close to the world title in 2024, finishing second overall just behind the HPI Fujairah Racing Team.
A prolific racer who also competes in the Offshore 3B/3C classes, and the 2021 European Champion in the latter, Sebastian will partner with driver Micke Bengtsson for the 2025 XCAT season.

The 2025 season sees Mikael “Micke” Bengtsson return to XCAT after a six-year hiatus from the championship.
A versatile racer who has competed in Offshore 3B and 3C classes, as well as more recently in the Circuit GT30 category, Bengtsson rejoins the Swecat team with which he made his XCAT debut ten years ago at the 2015 Fujairah GP.
Micke, a two-time UIM World Champion in the Offshore 3C class, will take on driving duties in the Swecat Victory hull alongside fellow Swede Sebastian Groth on the throttles. When not racing, Mikael runs SEM Racetech, his race parts and engines building company.
