Giovanni Carpitella e Darren Nicholson win the Race 1 Fujairah GP
On the first day of December, in anticipation of their National Day, UAE celebrated the opening race of the Grand Prix of Fujairah, the first round of the 2021 XCAT World Championship.
The race was thrilling and competitive, highlighted by the high level of technical skills shown by the drivers.
The boat n.10 - the 222 Offshore - driven by Giovanni Carpitella e Darren Nicholson, conquered the victory, following a harsh battle with the other boats lasting almost the whole race.
The second place went to the Abu Dhabi 5, while the boat n.3 - Dubai Police- finished on the third step of the podium.
After the competition, the drivers took part at the Boat Parade event, where residents and visitors had the opportunity to see the XCAT boats and their teams around the city, enjoying a real paddock experience in an unusual environment.
We can definitely say that this 2021 XCAT started with a bang of emotions, and the first winners of the season already bagged points for the Championship crown.
