Marina di Pisticci, 24 September 2024 – The second Italian stage of the XCAT World Championship 2024, one of the most spectacular powerboating competitions in the world, was presented today at the Casa BCC of Potenza. From 26 to 29 September, the splendid setting of the Porto degli Argonauti in Marina di Pisticci will host the event, featuring 10 teams from various nations and continents, ready to compete with powerful XCAT boats.
This stage represents the third of five scheduled for the year, following those in Europe and before the final phases, which will take place in Hammam, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai. The participation of Dubai's Victory Team marks the return of an icon in the powerboating world.
During the press conference, speakers emphasised the event's importance for enhancing the Lucanian territory and for international tourism.
Speakers' Statements:
Sebastiano Pellecchia, UIM Sports Director, said:

Giorgio Costantino, General Manager of BCC Basilicata, added:
The XCAT Championship is an extraordinary showcase for our region and the Metapontino area. The visibility gained in the Arab countries and the resulting tourist flow represents a great opportunity for the territory.
