The prestigious Al Sharqiyah Grand Prix, the fourth and penultimate round of the 2024 UIM XCAT World Championship, officially kicked off today in Al Khobar, located in Saudi Arabia’s vibrant Eastern Province.

Thamer Safwan Habis - CEO of the Saudi Water Sports & Diving Federation, Saud Ahmad - Senior Manager of the Saudi Water Sports & Diving Federation and Event Coordinator of the Al Sharqiyah Grand Prix warmly welcomed participants.
He highlighted Al Khobar’s growing reputation as an ideal venue for hosting world-class competitions.
Following the briefing, the official practice sessions began, offering pilots the chance to test their boats and fine-tune strategies ahead of the high-stakes races. The calm yet challenging waters of the Arabian Gulf provided an excellent testing ground, enabling teams to evaluate speed, manoeuvrability, and tactical precision as they prepared for the intense competition.
