The 13th XCAT World Championship kicks off with Team GB on pole!
Scott Williams and Martin Campbell are the season's first pole-sitters in Fujairah's waters. Team GB, which ended last year’s championship in Dubai with a pole position and a race win, has once again proven to be the fastest boat on the water.
In the second place, we have the Shaun Torrente and Mikhail Kitashev team, representing the UAE but bringing together a Russian and an American, symbolizing unity and peace.
Rounding off the front row in third place are the reigning World Champions, the Schiano di Cola brothers, racing for Fujairah’s home team.
🚤 Race 1 is set for tomorrow at 3 PM local time.
Today, we also saw the Speed Cat Run, a thrilling one-kilometre head-to-head drag race where boats hit speeds of over 170 km/h. The knockout-style competition culminated in a showdown between:
- Team Victory – with Emirati drivers Salem Aladidi and Eisa Al Ali
- Team Blu Banca – featuring Italians Serafino Barlesi and Andrea Comello
