Victory Team secures the title with one race to spare
Dubai, 12 December 2025 – A historic day for Victory Team, who clinched the UIM XCAT World Championship with one race still to run, sealing the title in front of their home crowd. Emirati professional drivers Salem Al Adidi and Eisa Al Ali delivered a flawless performance on the water, securing the team’s seventh world championship.
A technically perfect race—executed with composure and prepared down to the finest detail—turned the day into a true celebration. A packed waterfront and electric atmosphere accompanied the win, shared with the team, their families and local authorities, including the President of the UAE Marine Sports Federation. After making their intentions clear on the eve of the season finale, Victory delivered exactly when it mattered most: bringing the world title home at the final round of the year.
Behind the winners, Italian brothers Rosario and Giuseppe Schiano di Cola took second place after a strong, consistent run. With Race 2 still to come, the Italians will be looking to strike back, consolidate their position and push for second overall, proudly defending—at least in part—the title they claimed last season.
It was a difficult day for Team GB, who never truly found their rhythm and were unable to mount a challenge.
The championship now moves on to Race 2, setting the stage for a breathless finale: every buoy can change everything, and every decision can define a season. Dubai is ready—now it’s truly time for the grand finale.
