Mikhail Kitashev has been racing powerboats for more than fifteen years, bringing a wealth of experience to the UAE Sharjah Team.
He is no stranger to circuit racing, holding numerous titles in the UIM Endurance Pneumatics classes. However, Kitashev shifted his focus to offshore racing ten years ago, making his XCAT debut at the 2016 Lugano GP.
For the upcoming Offshore XCAT season, Kitashev will once again represent the Sharjah Team, this time partnering with throttleman Shaun Torrente, with whom he won the Circuit Endurance Catamarans S2 World Title in 2017.

Shaun Torrente is one of the most respected competitors in the powerboating world, with one Offshore XCAT World Title and three F1H2O World Championships to his name.
He made his XCAT debut at the 2015 Cascais GP in Portugal and quickly adapted to the class’s high speeds. Torrente went on to join the Abu Dhabi Team, winning the 2018 World Title alongside Faleh Al Mansoori.
Now representing the Sharjah Team in XCAT while racing again in the F1H2O World Championship, Shaun also competes in the APBA Offshore Superstock Championship. He runs Shaun Torrente Racing (STR), a company specializing in the design and fabrication of high-performance marine parts.
